You're not wrong for being into submission or masochism, but you're forgetting how vitally important SAFETY is to BDSM. Otherwise it's just abuse. Caleb might or might not actually want to "really hurt you" but the problem is, he DID, and that should have been a huge red flag for you guys to figure out how to be safe about this.
