Dude, a diet of just fast food can kill you if you fail to take supplements. A carnivorous diet can kill you if you don't eat any vegetables. But it's always the vegans who are the ones who get attacked and singled out.

I think all parents should give their children nutritionally balanced food. They should also take their children for regular checkups. I had anemia back when I used to eat meat. I had to take supplements. And I wasn't vegan.

So to claim that because vegans need to take supplements (b12 at the very least) to be healthy, therefore veganism can't be healthy (implied by your article byline rather than the article itself) is unfair.

But I agree that if you're going to go vegan you owe it to yourself (and especially to your kids) to be smart about it and plan and make sure you have your nutrients in order.

I also would say that if you're NOT a vegan you still shouldn't assume your kids have a nutritionally balanced diet. Most American kids don't have balanced diets and subsist on majority ultraprocessed high sugar foods. Let's look at these too and not just single out the vegans please!
