Do you know much about the story of the Buddha? It's the story of a privileged man (a king) who was sheltered from suffering, and was awakened to the fact that life involves extreme suffering, disease, poverty, death, sorrow etc. When he realised this he shed his privilege and title, and lived as a monk, a beggar, for several years, trying to understand a way out of suffering.

You have a very surface level understanding of Buddhism, it's not about shaming people for suffering. It's about empowering people to transcend suffering. Do more research please, this article is a hit piece against what you seem to THINK Buddhism is.

Lesson I guess is to not judge an entire spirituality from a bastardised single sentence, maybe?
