Do platonic male friends normally kiss each other’s hands like Frodo and Sam do in the LOTR book? Do they normally lie with their heads in each other’s laps, stroking their hair/face?

All this happens in the book version of LOTR between Frodo and Sam. I mean it can be platonic but come on you have to admit there’s validity to the queer reading of it.
