Completely agree. My husband is definitely neurodivergent. Not autistic (probably) but he perceives the world in very unusual ways, almost like he can see multiple dimensions at once. He also lucid dreams, and sees his identity as made up of "aspects" (think, "parts" in IFS therapy but more distinct).

He's the most interesting person I've ever met, incredibly intelligent and funny, goofy and creative.

Our everyday conversations span the gamut of philosophy of consciousness, science of the microbiome and quantum foam, nondual spirituality, Pokemon, animal ethics, antitheism, political theory, Rick and Morty, tropes in zombie movies, sexy vampires, direct democracy... this could all be in a single conversation. I fucking love it.
