Carlyn, as a woman, I disagree that all types of orgasm are caused by the clitoris and the clitoris alone.
I know the clitoris is a big organ that is mainly internal.
But I have the ability to have orgasms in my lower belly, which I call "womb clench orgasms". They are handsfree, they happen when I'm extremely mentally aroused, and are FAR FAR AWAY from the deepest part that the clitoris reaches.
Not only that, the feeling of pleasure of a womb clench orgasm feels VERY DIFFERENT qualitatively than a clitoral orgasm. To use an analogy, a clitoral orgasms feels "umami" to me, while a womb clench orgasm feels "sweet".
I've experimented with trying to blend the two sensations together, but it seems clitoral stimulation actually "cancels out" the womb clench feelings. Whereas if it was the clitoris doing it, you'd expect clitoral stimulation to ENHANCE the feelings. But it doesn't.
Funnily enough, when I'm having penetrative sex, the pleasure I feel is in the lower belly. The same qualitative feeling as a womb clench orgasm. I assume it's because the thrusting motion jostles the uterus?
It's the same kind of feeling as when you're in a roller coaster and the "swooping" feeling happens in the lower belly, or swinging in a swing. It's the same part of the body that I feel the pleasure, except more sexual and more pleasurable than being on a swing. But I think the uterus is involved in all these feelings.
There's an interesting Aeon article that explains that the clitoris uses the pudendal nerve to transmit sexual sensation to the spinal cord and thence to the brain. Whereas the uterus uses the hypogastric nerve and the vagus nerve to travel directly to the brain stem, bypassing the spine.
"We have known for some time that touch sensations from the genital region pass through four different nerves on their way to the spinal cord and, ultimately, the brain. Of these, the pudendal nerve is the most important for sexual sensation, carrying signals from the clitoris in cisgendered women and the penis in cisgendered men. In women, the pelvic nerve conveys touch signals from the labia minora, the vaginal walls, the anus and the rectum. In men, the pudendal nerve carries information from the anus and the scrotum as well as the penis. In women, sensations from the cervix and the uterus can also be conveyed by the hypogastric nerve as well as the vagus nerve, which travels directly to the brain stem, thereby bypassing the spinal cord entirely."

This would make sense to me because the "womb clench" orgasms can happen entirely mentally, and that would make sense that the nerve connecting the brain and the uterus could transmit signals both ways, explaining their "handsfree" nature that allows me to have up to hundreds of these when I am sufficiently aroused (for example when I'm reading erotica).
I beg of you please do not discount all the many many women who say they have additional types of orgasms than clitoral. You think you're being feminist, but it's not feminist to deny other women's experiences.
Yes the clitoris is the most important sexual pleasure organ for women. But it is not the only one.
