Brian, I think you're not quite understanding nonduality here. We are always in nonduality AND duality at all times. Nonduality is all around us, it is the consciousness we experience, the Big Bang we came from, the universe that we are inseparable from. Duality is also all around us because it's how we are able to operate our consciousness (by separating into Self and Other, This from That).

I think you're conflating nonduality and a utopia where social divisions and conflict have been erased. They're not the same thing, although when we envisage a utopia like that it is often from a mindset of "we are all one so why are we tribalistic/hostile etc".
