And also the young and neurodivergent!

Most "otherkin" are neurodivergent. I used to judge "otherkin" and think neopronouns were "the wrong kind of nonbinary" because "faegender amirite" but the older and more experienced I get I now respect neopronouns more, because I understand how unique every person's perception of reality and their self is. Also how constructed the self is, why is "man, woman and nonbinary" the only 3 genders we're ok with? It shouldn't be! The human experience is so fucking diverse! I have synaesthesia, I have friends who have aphantasia, I have a partner who is part of a "system" of multiple aspects some of whom are nonhuman, I have friends who feel themselves to be "starseeds" from the Pleiades... Why should I think they should be limited to the same categories?

Also I was pretty cringe when I first started engaging with queer spaces, because I was closeted at home and so my only exposure to queer people and ways to explore my bisexuality was through online spaces mainly Tumblr, through "shipping" Sam/Frodo and fanart etc.
