Also, the neurodiversity paradigm is more being pushed by autistic people who are not severely limited by autism. So for them it is really a "superpower" or "value neutral". And good for them. I think they should be seen as just different rather than disabled.

But there are apparently 40% of autistic people who can't speak, harm themselves constantly by banging their heads into walls, who cannot care for themselves, who become violent when anxious and overstimulated.

Their voices are seemingly forgotten about in this conversation. For these people I think autism really is a disability and not just a neutral "difference". And it's not just something that simply changing society to be less neurotypical would solve as many would like to claim.
