Also, kids don't come up with the idea that they deserve to be celebrated on their birthday. It's the parents that do it. And the kid learns to internalise the idea that their birthday is a celebration. After all, the kid didn't choose to be born. They also didn't choose to celebrate their birthday when they were 1 year old or 2 years old. That was all the choice of the parents. So I don't think it's fair to imply kids are entitled if they have birthday celebrations, because they were taught by their parents that their birth was something to celebrate. As was the birth of their own parents.
