Also, I would argue that no one outside of actual neoNazi eugenicists employs "scientific facts" to "question other people's humanity".
This "you're denying my humanity" claim is an exaggerated claim that gets used more and more often, and it's hyperbolic in 99% of cases.
Normally it's in reference to "if you don't agree that deep down I'm really "a real woman" you must be denying my humanity" or "if you believe in The Bell Curve you're denying my humanity" etc.
I'm not saying that misgendering or Bell Curve IQ claims are good btw, I'm just saying the response to them tends to be hyperbolic in claiming that disagreeing with a trans/NB person's gender is "denying them humanity" which isn't typically what the misgendering person is doing. Rather I would say it's "denying their sanity" which is a different matter. After all, we don't claim that people who disagree with schizophrenic people's claims that "I have magical powers" is denying their humanity. It's denying their sanity. Again NOT saying that being schizophrenic or being trans are equivalent but more that in the minds of transphobic people that's typically what they think, rather than thinking that trans people are literally subhuman.
Likewise believing in The Bell Curve theory of racial intelligence, isn't "denying humanity" to black people, it's "denying equality" or "denying intelligence" or "denying individuality" or whatever.
I feel like the claim of "denying humanity" is so overused now it's losing its meaning, and making more SPECIFIC and accurate claims as to what a person's views actually are, would have more of an impact.
