All your comments about women in their thirties belie internalised ageism. You seem to think that you won’t be fuckable, that you won’t be cool, that having responsibility and self care is boring. Which projects onto other 30ish women. That all women in their thirties aren’t truly enjoying life and are instead desperate and shrill. You claim that’s the patriarchy talking but you believe it. But that’s something I think you should explore in therapy. Maybe look at making some friends and relationships with substance that don’t judge people based on an arbitrary marker of age. Maybe look at seeing growing older as a sign of wisdom and increased learning which isn’t boring it’s a GOOD and often happy thing.

And no I’m not desperate I’m still in my 20s but I won’t care when I’m in my 30s lol. I’m already doing all the things you shudder at, while in my 20s. It’s not a drag it’s empowering. I’m living the life I want not letting some socially defined idea of what a woman in her 20s needs to do — go clubbing “while secretly hating it" for example.
