Again this is not a guarantee. You could teach her to set boundaries and not tolerate this kind of behaviour, rather than throw up your hands and condemn your niece to a life of domestic servitude because "that's how life is". I don't tolerate this in my life, so clearly it's not something that's inevitable. We have choices about our individual lives even if the collective situation still needs improving.

And for the record I was a feminist, for many years. I don't really do the activism online anymore but I still believe in the ideals.
